Ich kann erstens der Frage nachgehen `Warum sind die Schwachen schwach?´, aber auch zweitens `Warum sind die Starken stark?´.

Ersterem widmet sich schon seit längerem die sogenannte Risikoforschung. Sie setzt die Forschung bei denjenigen an, deren Entwicklung auffällig wurde, die sich beispielsweise in Aggressionen oder Kriminalität flüchteten, um herauszufinden, welchen Risiken sie im Laufe ihrer Sozialisation ausgesetzt waren, welche Bedingungen im Umfeld oder der Lebensgeschichte für die dann auffällig gewordenen Personen als Ursache angesehen werden könnten. Dies hat zum Zweck, Risiken oder Ursachen für eine Entwicklungsstörung mit gezielten Maßnahmen, die diese Schwachpunkte kompensieren, zu begegnen, um die Störung zu heilen. Eine logische Schlussfolgerung, die seit langem im Selbstverständnis der pädagogischen Theorie und Praxis verankert ist.

Doch es erscheint mindestens ebenso interessant, der zweiten Frage nachzugehen. used to be macht manche Menschen `stark´? Betrachtet guy z.B. Mark Twains bekannten Protagonisten Huckleberry Finn. Es ist inappropriate, ob er tatsächlich oder nur in der Phantasie des Autors existierte. Wesentlich ist, dass er trotz aller Risiken "...gut über die Runden" kommt, weder wie der Vater zum Alkoholiker, noch depressiv oder aggressiv wird und sich zu einem sympathischen, kreativen Jungen entwickelt, der sich letztlich in die Gesellschaft einfügt.
