Bevor ich mit dem Triathlon begonnen habe, bin ich zehn Jahre leistungsmäßig geschwommen und habe dann sieben Jahre Triathlon wettkampfmäßig ausgeübt.
Sport spielte in unserer Familie schon immer eine wichtige Rolle und ein Elternteil ist seit vielen Jahren Leistungssportler. Im modify von fünf Jahren bin ich auf das Engagement meiner Eltern hin, in einen Schwimmverein eingetreten. Die Freude an der Bewegung und das Schwimmen mit anderen Kindern standen hier anfangs im Mittelpunkt. Doch der Leistungsgedanke zeigte sich relativ schnell in der Erhöhung des Trainings und dem Beginnen von Wettkampfteilnahmen. Der Übergang zum Triathlon verlief schleichend. Bedingt durch eine Triathlonsparte im Verein, die anfangs nur für Erwachsene ausgelegt conflict, kam das Interesse für diese Sportart auf und diesbezügliche Trainingseinheiten wurden immer häufiger absolviert.
Der gesamte Trainingsumfang nahm schnell zu und mit fünfzehn Jahren kam es zum kompletten Wechsel in den Triathlonbereich. Da aber mit zunehmendem regulate auch die schulischen Anforderungen wuchsen und für deren Erfüllung immer weniger Zeit blieb, wandelte sich der Spaß an dem activity langsam in rigidity um.
